What STARRS Accomplished in 2023 Because of You

As we approach the end of the year by celebrating Christmas and the holiday season and the hope and joy this holiday promises, we want to thank you for your support, whether simply offering moral encouragement, volunteering, generous donations, or actively advancing our message to the public or Congress.

As a result of your ongoing support, this year STARRS accomplished:

Legislative Education
  • Educated Congress about the need to rescind the military vax mandate, help with the anti-DEI amendments in the NDAA, and promote meritocracy in the military amendments with our ongoing “Support Merit in the Military” campaign, which created an easy method for people to voice their support for this to their elected representatives.
  • STARRS Chairman was a member of the National Independent Panel on Military Service and Readiness, led by Congressman Mike Waltz, which issued a major report.
  • STARRS Vice Chairman, in his role leading Flag Officers For America, obtained signatures from 185 retired generals and admirals on a letter addressed to the House leadership asking them to remove all aspects of CRT and DEI from the 2024 National Defense Authorization Bill.
Legal Education by Affiliated Lawyers
  • Advised hundreds of current and former military members.
  • Lawsuit challenging legality of military COVID mandate and denials of religious exemptions.
  • Lawsuit challenging DoD interference with Boards of Visitors of West Point, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.
  • Freedom of Information lawsuit with Judicial Watch obtaining Air Force Academy documents.
Public Education/Outreach
  • Submitted 11 FOIA requests this year, totaling 43.
  • Wrote two position papers on important topics related to military readiness.
  • Issued 18 press releases.
  • Created a new website rich with resources and over 1000 posts to become the place to go to for news about the CRT/DEI/Woke agenda in DOD. The site gets an average of 17K views per month.
  • Created 39 Saturday email newsletters recapping the week’s news and three quarterly digital SITREP newsletters with in-depth articles.
  • Collected over 1000 comments of what military people are saying about wokeness in the military and recruitment. The formatted document has been sent to members of Congress and their staff and we have plans to send it to other senior leaders.
  • Issued 12 Open Letters on issues we follow.
  • Had 22 media appearances/podcast interviews. Also several members were interviewed for an upcoming documentary on wokeness in the military.
  • STARRS authors wrote 102 articles. This included when we helped “flood the zone” with a special week-long section in the Washington Examiner of articles about CRT/DEI in the military to influence Congress.
  • Created two videos, What Happened to Our Military to support the anti-DEI NDAA amendments, and a soon-to-be released promotional video for the E Pluribus Unum USAFA AOG affinity group.
  • Held three Town Halls this year for people of like-mind to come together to discuss the issues and hear your ideas. Our latest Town Hall featured a new member of our leadership team, retired Air Force Brigadier General Christopher Walker, a 1988 USAFA graduate.
  • STARRS CEO Ron Scott was a panel member of a webinar on ideological subversion of America.
  • STARRS EVP and General Counsel gave a speech at a TakeCharge event in Minnesota and the STARRS CEO gave a speech at an Arizona Women of Action event.
  • STARRS Chair and CEO gave an important educational presentation to the Board of Directors of the USAFA Association of Graduates (AOG).
  • STARRS Chair and CEO participated on CD Media-hosted panels in New York City and Colorado Springs, respectively.
  • Worked with a number of service academy cadets and parents to hear their concerns and to assist them, including helping 5 cadets return to the Coast Guard Academy after being removed for not taking the vax.

Of all the important actions listed above, the two most significant were our key role in getting the mandatory covid vaccination policy removed from the Department of Defense, and the comprehensive input we provided to congressional members and staffs to help educate them on the toxic effects CRT and DEI are having on our military.

Both efforts continue into 2024–the fight isn’t over, especially with the NDAA and DOD requesting $114 Million for DEI initiatives.

In 2024 we will also explore organizing across the nation with in-person gatherings and rallies to expand our team and its impact, and to work together on projects. Contact Us if you would be interested in helping to organize gatherings in your state or help out in any way.

Again, none of what we have done or what we are planning would have been possible without your moral encouragement and generous financial support. We are in a tough battle and take a lot of arrows!

We appreciate all you have done and continue to do to help spread the word so that we grow our number of teammates in this critical fight.
