There are far too few pastors across America who have the courage to speak from the pulpit to their congregations and elsewhere on hot political social policies that have strong religious implications.
Pastor Scott Bottoms is the opposite; he does not hesitate to take a stand from a religious and moral vantage point on such issues as boys in girls sports, child sex trafficking, right to life, the trans movement, etc.
He believes a major contributor to the moral decay in our society is that pastors as a group, are failing “The Church” by not speaking from the Bible and challenging political social policies that contradict with Judeo/Christian beliefs.
Dr. Bottoms is especially well qualified to address such policies as he is the most conservative Representative in the Colorado State Legislature. He has fought against the deep corruption and immoral actions in that legislature.
Pastor Bottom’s stance ties directly into our STARRS American Creed briefing where we point out our founding documents were written by extremely religious men who cited God/our Creator in those documents.
We emphasize our Judeo/Christian heritage; our National Motto “In God We Trust”; the oath we take which begins with “I do solemnly swear” and ends with “so help me God”.
Our briefing emphasizes how over 90 years the Marxist march through our institutions, including the Church, has removed religion from the public square and our education system. And today the Islamists recognize only one religion, Islam. They are now linked with the Marxist in the Red/Green Axis.
So today, it’s more important than perhaps ever in our history for pastors/priests/rabbis—and everyone—to be courageous and speak out against the purposeful moral decay of our nation.

About Our Guest Speaker
Dr. Scott T. Bottoms serves as the Representative for Colorado House District 15 in El Paso County and is currently in his second term. He is also the Lead Pastor of Church at Briargate in Colorado Springs, where he has faithfully led for over 14 years. Prior to this role, Dr. Bottoms served in Strasburg and Rocky Ford, Colorado.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries from Nelson University(2002), a Master of Arts in Urban and Intercultural Ministries (2006), and a Doctorate of Ministry in Intercultural Spiritual Leadership (2011).
A proud veteran, Dr. Bottoms served eight years in the United States Navy. His leadership extends beyond the church, having served on executive boards with the Assemblies of God, Nelson University, and Strong Cross Ministries, where he also chaired Sarah’s Home.
Dr. Bottoms has been married to his wife, Linda, for 35 years. Together, they are proud parents of three children, two daughters-in-law, and grandparents to three grandchildren.
