Two days before the Fourth of July, the Biden administration’s woke Department of Defense celebrated a male U.S. Army major who has decided he is female, declaring the man’s journey “inspires us all.”
Maj. Rachel Jones, a biological man who identifies as a woman, serves as the U.S. Army Sustainment Command Cyber Division chief, G6 (Information Management), according to the U.S. Army, which lauded Jones for living “her truth.”

Jones faced deep-rooted challenges on her path to self-acceptance. In a world where LGBTQ+ voices were often marginalized, she battled depression and contemplated suicide. Today, her resilience shines as a hope for others facing similar struggles.

A spokesman for the Department of Defense defended their policies, telling The Daily Wire, “Diversity, inclusion, and equality at its core is about leveraging the strengths of all our people, advancing opportunity, addressing potential barriers or discrepancies, and – fundamentally – ensuring people are treated with dignity and respect. We always talk about weapons systems, yet every one of us will agree that our greatest weapons system are our people. Living authentically saves Soldier’s life (US Army, 22 JUN 23)
Coming out as a transgender female saved Maj. Rachel Jones’ life. The U.S. Army Sustainment Command Cyber Division chief, G6 (Information Management), struggled with depression and suicidal ideation for most of her life. Today, she is living her truth and is no longer battling depression or suicidal thoughts.
The observance of Pride Month, celebrated every June, was first recognized by the Department of Defense in June 2012. It is a time when the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community come together to celebrate love and authenticity. Many LGBTQ+ people must overcome deep-rooted fear, shame and adversity in order to live as their most authentic self, though.
