From his podcast, The Rob Maness Show:
You just heard Secretary of War Pete Hegseth cut straight to the heart of it: “Diversity is not our strength.” Unity is. “Send me” becomes “Send us.” Duty. Honor. Country.
For too long, that warrior ethos has been under deliberate assault at the very place charged with forging America’s future Army officers, the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Joining us today is a man who’s lived it and is now fighting to restore it. Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Ed Kennedy. A prior enlisted infantryman, graduate of West Point Class of 1976 and Infantry officer. And for nearly two decades a graduate instructor at the Command and General Staff College.
In his powerful new article for the MacArthur Society of West Point Graduates, “Killing Woke At West Point,” Colonel Kennedy lays bare how DEI, Critical Race Theory, and Marxist ideology metastasized inside the Academy.
He names names—faculty who rewrote history, elevated identity politics over warfighting, and even helped produce West Point’s first openly communist graduate.
He shows how “Duty, Honor, Country” was quietly subordinated to race, gender, and grievance.
Kennedy doesn’t just diagnose the cancer. He calls for the cure: a clean sweep of the root causes, full support for Secretary Hegseth’s war on woke, and a return to the timeless standards that once made West Point the envy of the free world.
This isn’t about politics. It’s about whether the next generation of officers will lead American soldiers into battle with honor or fracture them with ideology.
