STARRS
In its typical left-wing bias manner, a Military.com article by Rebecca Kheel about Matt Lohmeier entitled, “Fired Space Force Officer Approved to Be Air Force’s No. 2 Civilian Leader” has as its opening sentence,
“A former Space Force officer who was booted from the service after making unfounded allegations that Marxism was spreading throughout the military has been confirmed by the Senate to be the Air Force’s No. 2 civilian.”
Unfounded?
Allegations?
We guess she’s not a reader of the STARRS.US website which has over 3,000 posts regarding the problem and dangers of Marxist-based Critical Race Theory ideology and its practice, DEI/Wokism, in the US military.
Major General David Commons, USAF ret, USAFA ’75, and F-16 command pilot with more than 3,900 flight time sent this letter to the reporter:
Ms Kheel
What research did you accomplish to conclude that Mr Lohmeier made “unfounded allegations that Marxism was spreading throughout the military?”
To the contrary, DEI, which is another name for CRT, is rooted in Marxism.
Your article lacks any serious investigation into what was actually happening within the DoD and the Service Academies.
If you are interested in research and evidence that counters your observation about Mr Lohmeier’s “allegations”, please let me know.
Regards
Dave Commons
STARRS Chairman Lt. General Rod Bishop, USAF ret, USAFA ’74 and who was elected this year to the USAFA Association of Graduates Board of Directors, responded:
Thanks General for weighing in! We have the same problem of people not recognizing what you say below on the USAFA AOG BOD.
Some are advocating for an AOG BOD “team building exercise.” A complete waste of time unless it is going to address what is at the core of people not cooperating more fully and the divide that exists on the Board.
Some just refuse to accept the Marxist roots, history (dating back even before Marx) and intent to divide of cultural Marxism that has manifested itself as DEI today– (and the virtue of those standing up against the Marxist “invasion!” )
I got General Speedy Martin‘s permission on Friday to share his quote publicly that he made to us 5 years ago when we were trying to get the BLM video off an official USAFA website.
As you may remember, he wasn’t aware of BLM or their website–didn’t know they bragged of being “Marxist trained,” against the Western nuclear family, anti-capitalists, etc, etc–but then people sent him 10s if not a100 or more articles on BLM and CRT/DEI.
He said “I get it now–the Left has taken a page out of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and bamboozled half of America.”
Some prefer to remain bamboozled.
I have told a number of folks that think like this that “I KNOW CRT/DEI came from the Frankfurt School, (that previously had been called The MARXIST School) and is cultural Marxism plain and simple–and then said–“but if you have another source of where this ideology came from (that cadets (and parents) and thousands of military members complained about so extensively)–then please tell me–I am all ears!” Still waiting on even one additional source that some think might exist for this ideology.
VR, Rod
PS. Oh by the way, besides being called a racist twice during (or events surrounding) last week’s USAFA AOG Board Meeting (a first), I also took some spears (twice) for quote “dividing the graduate community.” I guess now, as so many people have shared with me when they have heard this, that apparently “we are blaming the doctor for being the cause of the disease instead of the congratulating him on trying to stop the spread of the cancer.”
PPS Ms Kheel–I too would add an invitation along with the one extended to you from General Commons to speak with me at any time.
I live right outside the north gate of USAFA and could tell you many, many, stories (unfortunately) that have been relayed to me by so many cadets about the divisiveness that DEI was causing.
Matt Lohmeier was playing the role of “the doctor” here, trying to stop the spread of the cancer.
Even better, just visit our website and you will have a chance to read over 2000 personal stories from around all of the Services! Make sure you view the video of the former black female West Point cadet and listen closely to her reasons as to why she left West Point or watch the documentary you will find there produced by “Secure America Now” that features a minority female cadet (scrambled) from USAFA.
Please don’t become a parrot of a divisive ideology–“Listen to the People” is one of our motto’s in STARRS.
“The military was the only place where I would be treated fairly and advance on merit.”
