Can’t make this up.
STARRS began monitoring the politicizing of the military and service academies after seeing the Air Force Academy’s football team put out a video homage in 2020 to the thoroughly Marxist Black Lives Matter group (BLM founders said they were “trained Marxists”).
Our website has thousands of examples of the politically anti-American, radical, divisive, woke ideology and agenda that was aggressively pushed on the military during the Biden administration. Military leadership went along with this extreme politicization, including Gen. CQ Brown, signer of the infamous pilot quota memo.
Now he has written an essay in Foreign Affairs, The Military and the Republic, warning that the military is being politized, Former Top General Warns the Military Is Being Politicized.
Here’s the response from Sean Parnell, the Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs, Chief Pentagon Spokesman & Senior Advisor to SECWAR.
“CQ Brown’s op-ed is the hypocritical parting shot of a fired officer who served as a loyal foot soldier for one of the most politicized eras in U.S. military history.
Under the prior administration, Brown helped
-
-
- champion divisive COVID-19 vaccine mandates that purged thousands of capable service members,
- stood by as mandatory DEI ideology trainings were established that elevated identity over merit, and
- was silent when “extremism” stand-downs that functioned as witch hunts against conservatives took place.
-
These actions eroded readiness, morale, and trust while turning the Pentagon into a vehicle for social engineering.
For him to now decry politicization rings hollow.
Secretary Hegseth has restored an apolitical warrior ethos by
-
-
- eliminating DEI bureaucracies,
- refocusing leaders on lethality and standards, and
- empowering commanders to prioritize combat excellence over ideology,
-
delivering the merit-based, mission-focused military our nation demands.”
Don’t even get me started. Stunning hypocrisy from one of the most politically charged officers who ever donned the uniform.
I’d like America to realize that CQ Brown set the standard for what happened yesterday with that Airman on capital hill.
Why?
Because Brown made a video… pic.twitter.com/C1FwePKOu6

I’d like America to realize that CQ Brown set the standard for what happened yesterday with that Airman on capital hill.
Why?
Because Brown made a video IN UNIFORM after the George Floyd incident. He also went on to make divisive messaging by race. And divisive promotions.
None of us are interested in what General Brown had to say. Quite the opposite. We want him to fade away and never speak publicly again, let alone on politicizing the force.
While we work tirelessly to cure the partisanship he inflicted, he dares accuse us of the same?
No, General. Those spells don’t work anymore.
We just don’t care. Enjoy your retirement and stay the hell out of this.”

I was at the Pentagon when those struggle training sessions were mandated. They were geared to one side only, with nary a mention of the terrorists who rampaged and destroyed American cities. Lots of discontent and ill will in the ranks with that divisive shit

During Gen Brown’s tenure I attended a course for intelligence SNCOs at Goodfellow. During this course, we were taught a lesson about how color blindness was wrong, and we had to analyze people by color and sex, that white people didn’t understand hardships in life. Utterly vile.

I remember the “extremism’ stand down.
They couldn’t define extremism but we were all supposed to be on the lookout for it🙄
CQ’s also the guy who whined because some airman didn’t salute him when he was in civvies— Professional driver on a closed course. (@mudwzl) July 3, 2026
Brown implemented Marxist DEI policies and personally politicized the military. He has no loyalty to the American Republic unless it’s the Communist Democrat party version of it. https://t.co/kH5C4No4iH

When he and Slife were fired, airmen rejoiced. Especially in afsoc https://t.co/mTId9qiPlv

Interrupting my American Exceptionalism series to let General CQ Brown personally know that nobody cares what he has to say.
He divided the formation on race and presided over one of the most politicized climates in U.S. military history.
His hypocrisy is off the charts.

We are NOT going back to that.
Unity>diversity
Every. Damn. Time.
We aren’t black white red yellow brown whatever.
WE ARE AMERICANS. And we’re done being lectured to by failed generals who divide us.”
