Join the Infantry

By @InfantryDort on X, US Army Lt. Colonel

The reason I always say “Join the Infantry” is because it’s one of the last bastions where the merit based and color blind worldview exists.

Many on here (X) are highlighting race and tribe now. Can’t fault them for that. It’s the default state of the human condition, isn’t it?

It is the Infantry that is the exception. Or more broadly, a specific set of post war circumstances that allowed for a people of disparate backgrounds to come together under one banner.

But those circumstances are fading away now, and tribalism rules the day. So it has been, so it shall be.

But those who advocate for a “melting pot” are lost. Why? Because nobody is willing to turn up the heat on said pot.

It’s tantamount to talking at a cauldron with ingredients in it with the burner off, then wondering why you’re not getting delicious soup.

The Infantry is special because it turns up the heat on you. To where pain and suffering melt away any differences you may have enjoyed.

Cast aside out of necessity. And in those harrowing moments, you realize you never needed such worldviews to begin with.

But again, it is a very specific set of circumstances. It takes pressure and time to make a diamond, right? The same goes for a human soul, or a Rifle Squad.

The issue with the military and the nation at large over the last couple decades is that we stopped applying pressure. We celebrated differences to the point where the celebration became an excuse to throw up the phalanx and tribe up.

The military wears a uniform. It literally means “one form” or “remaining the same without variation”.

Our nation has a saying of “E pluribus Unum” as well.

We were always supposed to be the same. Or similar enough to where we can rally under one banner to defend what we love. Compared with the rugged individual spirit of what it means to be an American.

But at the core, an American who is one of many.

We stopped applying pressure, we need to apply it again. There is only one way to stop this short of open war or Balkanization, and it is that.

So when we tell you no more trannies, beardos, weirdos etc, we aim to make you uniform, through pressure and confrontation.

It has been missing for far too long. We’ve paid the price long enough. So my fellow Americans, turn up the heat. Make people assimilate or want to leave.

Until then? May the best tribe win. Because that’s what human history promises will happen.
