Conference of Service Academy Superintendents Sign the Sexual Assault Prevention (SAPR) Proclamation (DVIDS)

Some recent identity-based event photos albums on USNA’s Flickr page:

2024: Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) Proclamation signing
The Naval Academy observes SAAPM by focusing on creating the appropriate culture to eliminate sexual assault and requiring a personal commitment from all service members.

STARRS NOTE: This signing a document is something all the academies are doing this month. “Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Proclamation” video on USAFA’s YouTube channel. This seems to be a never-ending perennial problem over the decades since the academies went co-ed. Both the USAFA and USNA superintendents separately stated recently this is the number one issue they are focusing on at their academies, which seems rather strange for US military academies.

2024: Superintendent All Hands
U.S. Naval Academy Superintendent, Vice Adm. Yvette M. Davids addresses U.S. Naval Academy staff during an “All Hands” briefing at Alumni Hall. This photo is interesting of who works there. Guess it was casual day.

NaTasha Everly, SgtMaj. Sherri Cook, Maj. Shari Reeder, and CWO4 (Ret.) Elazier-Allison, inspired by the leadership experiences of these women in the Marine Corps in Chauvenet Hall.

2024: Women in Flight Suits Panel

Cecily Walsh, talk to midshipmen for an in-depth discussion on the opportunities ahead, family dynamics, and being an aviator while caring for a family.

2024: Native Youth Leadership Summit (NYLS)

The NYLS is designed for youth leaders to meet and develop strategies for improving local and tribal communities through policy development and the resolution process. The summit is a prime opportunity for Native Youth to learn how to become advocates for their communities while networking with their peers and tribal leaders from across Indian Country.
