“The wolverine has a reputation for ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size, with the documented ability to kill prey many times larger than itself! Though a shy animal, they will attack to kill if cornered or if they feel outnumbered or threatened.”
The setting – my brother, Bill, and I were doing what we most loved to do together – fishing. He was ten years old and I was eight.
We were fishing alone in Lake De Smet (eight miles north of Buffalo, Wyoming) in a rowboat with a small outboard engine, trolling in the middle of the 3,600-acre lake where my uncle ran a hunting and fishing resort, Seney Point. The sky was sunny and clear.
The adventure began – we spotted some animal struggling to survive in the water. Curiosity took over. Good Boy Scouts, we felt compelled to help this unknown critter. I lifted him into the boat with an oar. He’s in the bow.
Unknown to us, it was a wolverine. Tick, tick, tick as he dried off. He’s cornered, desperate, confused. He transformed into a demon as he commenced to snarling and spitting.
He spotted his tormenters – Bill and I in the back of the boat. We were absolutely terrified, as we dueled to keep him at bay with an oar.
The adventure ended, as we approached the dock at full throttle (3 knots!), yelling for salvation.
Uncle Frank met us with a rope lasso (really). Roped, removed from the boat, the wolverine was dragged to his demise by a group of amazed “old timers.”
Uncle Frank stood muttering. We clambered out of the boat, realizing that even with the best of intentions, just how dumb we could be! Lesson – Don’t let a wolverine in the boat!
To Democrats – You’ve let the wolverine in the boat!
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are within your party with all their venom, rage, and single-minded hatred of that which binds them – America, the U.S. Constitution, and you.
They have published a platform calling for the elimination of the Supreme Court, the Senate, the Presidency, the Electoral College, sovereign borders, police, ICE, the Pentagon, and more!
To a young population swamped in a digital world and a large number of smoldering, liberal and progressive Democrats shamed by recent elections, a radically reformed Big Government is their salvation.
Free stuff is salve for real and perceived wrongs, an “unfair” job after earning meaningless college degrees, binding rules and law, TDS and more!
The DSA has endorsed 29 Socialist candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives for the 2026 election cycle. The number of Socialist candidates “on the bench” at state and local levels shows similar growth.
Three in four Democrats say they would be open to supporting a Democratic Socialist.
Gen Z and Millennials (Ages 18 – 29) favor Socialism over Capitalism, 62% to 38%. This same group comprised 50% of voters by generation in the 2024 presidential election.
To all voters, Do Not Look Away – The Wolverine is out to get you!
American Veterans Vote and Veterans in general must take this threat seriously, whether at local, state, or national level. It will not stop itself.
A Democratic party, adrift and leaderless without competing policies or constructive energy, is likely unable to rescue itself.
All Veterans swore an oath to defend the Constitution.
Most have seen and served to protect our Nation from the wreckage of nations overcome by the “isms” – Communism, Marxism, Socialism.
In this 250th anniversary year for the USA, we’re celebrating our Declaration of Independence. We The People aimed to form a more perfect union with a government whose power derives from the consent of the governed.
Our Constitution enshrined this singular idea in an era encumbered elsewhere by forces such as royalty, class, wealth, and religion.
This singular idea has been defended successfully by every Veteran who served.
In our recent past, one wolverine was Karl Marx. His followers were small in number, but their influence grew quickly as an old-world order crumbled.
Last century’s wars were fought against the destructive force of the “isms” growing in the hotbeds of impoverished nations, class warfare, isolated academia, colonies and exploited nations.
It was mostly elsewhere. Today, we must realize clearly that The Wolverine is ashore and in Our boat!
We are armed with our vote. We must turn out in numbers beyond any recent measure to reject, eject, and defeat this threat to our Constitutional Republic.
