The American Left Is a Cult. I Have Receipts.

How a Science Teacher, Combat Medic, and Father of Four Accidentally Assembled the Most Uncomfortable Argument You Will Read This Year

Look, I did not wake up one morning and decide to write this. I really did not. I had lesson plans to grade, a family to feed on a budget that would make a college student wince, and about fourteen better things to do with my evening. But then I made a mistake. I read the comments section under a political post. And then another. And then I spent three hours watching grown adults with blue checkmarks argue that biological sex is a social construct while simultaneously demanding we “trust the science.”

So… here we are.

My name is Mike Bski. I spent 23 years as an Army combat medic. I deployed to Iraq as a line medic where I helped build a school, a fire station, and a hospital. I escorted little girls past men who wanted them DEAD for the crime of wanting an education.

I was a paramedic on the streets of Cleveland, Ohio — which, if you have ever run calls in Cleveland, you know is its own kind of combat zone. I started teaching while I was still in the reserves, working in a high-need, high-risk district where every kid qualifies for free lunch and the system had basically written them off. I have published two science textbooks. I feed a family of six on roughly $130 a week through meal planning that would make Gordon Ramsay proud.

I mention all of this not because I enjoy talking about myself — okay, maybe a little — but because when I make an argument, I back it up with something the modern American left treats like kryptonite: LIVED EXPERIENCE combined with ACTUAL RESEARCH.

Thomas Sowell nailed it when he said: “There are three questions that I think would destroy most of the arguments on the left. The first is: ‘Compared to what?‘ The second is: ‘At what cost?‘ And the third is: ‘What hard evidence do you have?‘”

Three questions. I have been asking them for years. Still waiting for a single coherent answer… but I will not hold my breath.

SO WHY “CULT”?

I know. Strong word. Loaded word. The kind of word that makes people stop scrolling and either lean in or start typing furiously. Good. Lean in. Because I am not throwing this term around for shock value. I am going to walk through the ACTUAL ACADEMIC CRITERIA for cult behavior and show you — with receipts — that the modern progressive movement checks every box on the list.

And here is the kicker… I did not have to stretch to make any of this fit. It was like watching Cinderella slide into the glass slipper, except the slipper is made of ideological conformity and the fairy godmother is Rachel Maddow.

THE CHECKLIST FROM HELL

Cult researchers have identified about twenty core behavioral patterns that distinguish destructive cults from normal social movements. I went through them. All of them. Let me show you what I found.

■ CUTTING OFF YOUR OWN FAMILY

Every cult manual starts here. Isolate the members. Sever outside relationships. Make the group the ONLY source of identity and belonging.

Politically mixed marriages in America dropped from 30% to 21% between 2016 and 2020. Over a quarter of Americans are now estranged from family members, and politics is the number one driver. People are bragging — BRAGGING — on social media about ditching Thanksgiving with their “MAGA relatives.” Yale psychiatrist Dr. Amanda Calhoun encouraged this as “essential for your mental health.”

Read that again. A licensed psychiatrist told people to abandon their families over a vote. And the left cheered.

I spent a career in the military watching people from EVERY political background share foxholes, MREs, and bad jokes. But sure… tell me it is healthy to disown your mother because she voted differently.

■ ABSOLUTE MORAL AUTHORITY

In a cult, the group’s worldview is the ONLY legitimate worldview. Disagreement is not wrong. It is EVIL. Sound familiar?

Try this experiment. Go on social media and politely disagree with any progressive position. Do not be rude. Do not insult anyone. Just… disagree. Use data. Time how long it takes before someone calls you a fascist, a racist, a bootlicker, or tells you that your words are “literal violence.”

I usually clock it at under four minutes.

Quinn’s Law #21 nails this: “Hate speech is any speech a liberal doesn’t agree with.” Not speech inciting violence. Not threats. Just… disagreement. That is all it takes to be branded a heretic in their church.

■ THOUGHT-TERMINATING CLICHES

This one drives me absolutely up the wall as a teacher, because my ENTIRE JOB is teaching kids to think critically. And the left has developed an entire arsenal of phrases designed to do the exact opposite.

“Educate yourself.” “That’s not my job to explain.” “Check your privilege.” “Do better.” “Full stop.” “It’s not up for debate.”

None of these phrases contain an argument. Not one. They are intellectual emergency exits — escape hatches for people who brought a bumper sticker to a thesis defense. They exist because, as Quinn’s Law #12 puts it: “Liberals do not engage in debate; they try to silence you. If they engaged in debate, they would lose.”

I have had more productive conversations with my students — teenagers who are still learning how the world works — than I have EVER had with a progressive activist online. At least my students are willing to hear a counterargument before deciding I am wrong.

■ LANGUAGE CONTROL

Quick: define “woman.”

If you just felt your stomach clench… congratulations, you understand the problem. We now live in a society where a sitting Supreme Court Justice could not — or would not — define a word that every five-year-old on the planet understands.

Mandatory pronouns with career-ending consequences. A euphemism treadmill that never stops spinning — “Latinx,” “birthing people,” “people who menstruate,” “minor-attracted persons.” Retroactive punishment for jokes you made a decade ago.

Quinn’s Law #5 explains how they get away with it: “When liberalism conflicts with reality, reality must give way.” Biology says there are two sexes? Well, biology is a social construct now. Webster’s Dictionary defined “woman” for centuries? Time for a new definition. Your own eyes and common sense tell you something is off? Clearly your eyes are bigoted.

George Orwell wrote an entire novel about this. The left read it and apparently took notes.

■ PUBLIC CONFESSION RITUALS

Coca-Cola told employees to “try to be less white.” Universities hold “anti-racism” sessions where white staff confess inherent racism. Corporate DEI training requires self-flagellation on demand.

Mao Zedong called these “struggle sessions.” The left calls them “professional development.” Same thing, different catering.

■ INFORMATION CONTROL AND ECHO CHAMBERS

Quinn’s Law #11 touches on this: “Profiling is what groups call bigotry when they have a problem they don’t want to talk about.” But it goes deeper than that. The left has constructed an entire information ecosystem designed to make sure you never encounter an unapproved thought.

The Hunter Biden laptop story? Suppressed. The lab-leak theory? “Misinformation” until it suddenly was not. Dissenting medical opinions during COVID? Censored. The Twitter Files revealed that the FBI made over 10,000 visits to Twitter offices. TEN THOUSAND. To coordinate content moderation with a social media company. And when Elon Musk exposed this… they tried to destroy HIM for showing you what they were doing.

Fox News, conservative websites, independent journalists — all labeled “misinformation” or “conspiracy theories.” They have built an information bubble where their followers only consume approved content, and then they have the audacity to tell US we live in an echo chamber.

Quinn’s Law #16 describes them perfectly: “Liberals view the world the way they think it should be, not the way it is.”

■ GRANDIOSE UTOPIAN PROMISES

“Abolish the police.” “Decolonize everything.” “End all oppression forever.” “Healthcare is a human right.” “Housing is a human right.” “The internet is a human right.”

Everything is a human right except the right to disagree with them.

Quinn’s Law #10 is the engine behind this: “Liberals never think what they are doing is wrong; they only think they haven’t done enough of it yet.” The program failed? We did not spend ENOUGH. The policy backfired? We did not go FAR ENOUGH. Crime spiked after defunding police? We did not defund ENOUGH.

It is never the idea that is wrong. It is always the execution. Always. The idea is sacred. Untouchable. And if you point out that the idea itself is fundamentally flawed… well, that is violence. Obviously.

■ FINANCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL CONTROL

PayPal closing accounts of dissenters. GoFundMe freezing funds for the wrong causes. Banks deplatforming people for political views. Advertiser boycotts. Corporate blacklisting.

Quinn’s Law #28 is chilling here: “Liberals only see capitulation or an apology as ‘blood in the water.'” Once they smell weakness, they do not stop. They ESCALATE. Apologize for a tweet from 2012 and watch what happens… they do not forgive you. They take your apology as confirmation that you WERE guilty and then they come for the rest.

Never apologize to the mob. The mob does not want your apology. The mob wants your destruction.

■ THE “EXCOMMUNICATED” — AND THIS IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY GOOD

Every cult eats its own. And the left? They have assembled an absolute MURDERER’S ROW of former heroes they have thrown into the wood chipper for the sin of thinking independently.

RFK Jr. — Environmental champion for DECADES. Questioned vaccine policy. Gone overnight. Decades of activism… erased. Just like that.

Elon Musk — Climate hero. Electric car messiah. The man was the progressive poster child. Then he bought a social media platform and said people should be allowed to speak freely… EXCOMMUNICATED faster than you can say “free speech.”

Joe Rogan — The most popular podcaster on the planet. Beloved by the left until he asked uncomfortable questions about COVID. Suddenly he was a dangerous misinformation spreader who needed to be silenced.

Tulsi Gabbard — Active-duty military, Democratic presidential candidate, combat veteran. She criticized the military-industrial complex and Hillary Clinton called her a Russian asset. ON TELEVISION.

J.K. Rowling — She wrote the most beloved children’s book series of a generation. She said biological sex is real. She has been receiving death threats ever since.

These people did not leave the left. The left LEFT THEM. One wrong thought, one unapproved question, one moment of intellectual honesty, and forty years of loyalty means NOTHING. Zero. You are dead to them.

Quinn’s Law #8 explains the mentality: “A liberal is any person for whom two thousand years of human experience and history mean nothing now that they are here.” It does not matter what you did yesterday. It does not matter what you built. The ONLY thing that matters is whether you are useful to the collective RIGHT NOW. The second you are not… you are furniture.

THE LOGICAL FALLACY BUFFET

Now we get to my favorite part. Because underneath all the emotional manipulation, the hashtag campaigns, the coordinated pile-ons and struggle sessions, the left’s ENTIRE intellectual framework rests on logical fallacies. That is it. That is the whole thing. Strip away the noise and there is NOTHING underneath but bad arguments in fancy packaging.

Quinn’s Law #14 says it plainly: “Liberalism is based on unproved and/or disproved theory.” And when your foundation is disproved theory… the only tools you have left are emotional manipulation and rhetorical tricks.

Let me walk you through the greatest hits. And yes, I name them in Latin. Because I am petty like that.

ARGUMENTUM AD HOMINEM: They cannot attack your argument, so they attack YOU. “You’re racist.” “You’re a fascist.” Cool story. My argument is still standing right where I left it, completely unaddressed. Thanks for playing.

ARGUMENTUM AD POPULUM: “Everyone agrees with us!” No… not everyone does. And even if they did, last century the majority of people in some states thought slavery was acceptable. Popularity is not proof of correctness.

ARGUMENTUM AD MISERICORDIAM: The appeal to pity. Every policy debate ends with “people will DIE” or “think of the children.” Emotion replaces evidence. Every. Single. Time. Quinn’s Law #9: “To liberals, intentions are more significant than the outcomes they achieve.” They do not care if the policy WORKS. They care if it FEELS righteous.

STRAW MAN: They do not argue against what you SAID. They argue against a funhouse mirror version of what you said. “You oppose the minimum wage? So you want people to STARVE?” No, Einstein. I want people to have access to entry-level jobs so they can build skills and climb the ladder. But that requires nuance, and nuance is not exactly their strong suit.

RED HERRING: They lose the argument, so they change the subject. “We were talking about the border–” “BUT JANUARY 6TH!” Every. Time. It is the political equivalent of a toddler pointing behind you and yelling “LOOK A SQUIRREL!” while they steal a cookie.

NON SEQUITUR: “Racism exists, therefore we need this SPECIFIC $3 trillion program.” The conclusion does not follow from the premise without about seventeen missing logical steps that they never bother to provide because they know the steps are made of wet tissue paper.

ARGUMENTUM AD NAUSEAM: Say it enough times and it becomes true. “Democracy is under threat! Democracy is under threat! Democracy is under threat!” Fun fact… we are not even a democracy. We are a constitutional republic. But who needs Article IV, Section 4 when you have a hashtag?

TU QUOQUE: “You did it too!” Ma’am, an error is still an error regardless of who commits it. This is not kindergarten. “But he started it” stopped being a valid argument when we were six.

Here is what gets me. I teach TEENAGERS to identify these fallacies. I literally have a unit on it in my science classes. And my students — kids from one of the most challenging districts in the state — can spot an ad hominem attack by the end of the first week. But adults with advanced degrees, six-figure salaries, and blue checkmarks cannot seem to construct a single argument without tripping over at least three of them.

Quinn’s Law #19 describes these people with surgical precision: “To a liberal, the definition of a great thinker is someone who can journey as far as possible from reality and make it look like they used some kind of sound logic to get there.”

That… is the most accurate sentence ever written about modern progressive intellectualism.

THE WEALTHY SHEPHERDS OF THE FLOCK

You want to know what really makes me laugh? The people leading this “movement of the people” are some of the wealthiest individuals in American politics.

Nancy Pelosi… net worth over $120 million. The Obamas… $12 million Martha’s Vineyard estate. The ones telling you about climate change and rising sea levels… bought an oceanfront mansion. Let that one sit. Chuck Schumer… over $9 million. Elizabeth Warren… over $12 million. The champion of the working class who is worth eight figures. Dianne Feinstein… died worth over $90 million. John Kerry… hundreds of millions through marriage. The climate czar who flies private jets to climate conferences. Bernie Sanders… the socialist with three houses and a net worth over $3 million.

Quinn’s Law #25:Liberals are great at giving away other people’s money.” Not THEIR money. YOUR money. They are champagne socialists, every last one of them. They preach redistribution from behind gated communities and then send their kids to private schools while telling YOU that school choice is racist.

Quinn’s Law #17:Being a liberal is the art of standing on one’s own head and telling the rest of the world that they are upside down.” Nancy Pelosi has $120 million and lectures a teacher making $45,000 about economic fairness. That takes a level of cognitive dissonance that borders on clinical.

YOUR BRAIN ON POLITICS (LITERALLY)

Here is where my inner science nerd gets a little too excited.

A study published in PNAS Nexus — the largest of its kind — used fMRI brain scans to examine the relationship between brain activity and political ideology. Researchers at Ohio State scanned 174 adults performing various tasks. None of the tasks were political. They were standard cognitive exercises.

The result? Brain signatures predicted political ideology with accuracy comparable to the strongest known predictor in political science: parental ideology. Your BRAIN SCAN is as good at predicting your politics as knowing how your parents voted. Let that land for a second.

The amygdala, inferior frontal gyrus, and hippocampus showed the strongest associations. The empathy task was tied to MODERATE ideology. The reward task predicted EXTREMISM in both directions.

Separately, Kirkegaard analyzed the General Social Survey — over 64,000 respondents spanning 1972 to 2018 — and found consistent associations between left-wing political ideology and negative mental health measures. The “extremely liberal” group had elevated rates across ALL five measures. The meta-analysis found extreme liberals had a 150% increased rate of mental illness compared to moderates.

Bullenkamp and Voges (2004) found 78% of psychiatric outpatients in Germany preferred left-wing parties, compared to 56% of the general population.

Conservatives consistently reported higher happiness and life satisfaction.

Am I saying liberalism is a mental illness? No. I am a science teacher, not a psychologist, and correlation is not causation — a distinction the left conveniently forgets whenever they want to blame something on systemic racism. But the data is the data. And when the data consistently points in one direction across multiple decades, multiple countries, and multiple methodologies… maybe stop shooting the messenger and start asking some hard questions.

Oh wait. Hard questions are not allowed. I forgot… that is “violence.”

THE 1963 PLAYBOOK NOBODY WAS SUPPOSED TO NOTICE

January 10, 1963. Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. read into the Congressional Record a list of 45 Communist Goals for America from W. Cleon Skousen’s “The Naked Communist.”

I am not a conspiracy theorist. The last conspiracy I believed in was that my wife hides the good snacks from me (confirmed: she does). But when a list from sixty-plus years ago reads like a modern progressive to-do list… I stop laughing and start paying attention.

Goal #15: Capture one or both political parties. Democrats hit a 96.5% unity score in 2024 — the highest EVER recorded for a majority party in the Senate. House Democrats voted together 98% of the time in 2021. That is not a political party. That is a hive mind with a voting booth.

Goal #17: Control the schools for socialist transmission. I WORK in a school. I see what is happening. Draw your own conclusions.

Goal #20-21: Infiltrate the press and gain control of key positions in radio, television, and motion pictures. I mean… do I even need to elaborate? Really?

Goal #25-26: Promote pornography and present promiscuity as normal. Achieved so thoroughly that questioning it gets you labeled a bigot.

Goal #27: Infiltrate churches, replace revealed religion with social religion. “Reverends” preaching government redistribution instead of the Gospel? Check.

Goal #28: Eliminate prayer in schools. Done. 1962.

Goal #29: Discredit the Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step. How many times have you heard “living document” used as a euphemism for “inconvenient obstacle”?

Goal #40: Discredit the family. In the 1950s, roughly 80-85% of Black children lived in two-parent homes. After decades of Democratic welfare programs that PENALIZED marriage? Fewer than 30% today. Out-of-wedlock births among Black Americans went from 21% in 1965 to 77% now. That was not an accident. Marriage penalties were BUILT INTO the welfare system. Benefits disappeared when single mothers married. The government literally incentivized the destruction of the family unit and then blamed “systemic racism” for the wreckage.

Goal #42: Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate traditions. The “Summer of Love.” CHAZ/CHOP. Activists storming churches. Protesters biting fingers off federal agents. Left-wing terrorism climbing to a 30-year high per AXIOS.

I am not saying Democrats read this list and followed it point by point. I AM saying that Quinn’s Law #1 does not care about intentions: “Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.” They claimed to help the poor… they created generational poverty. They claimed to strengthen families… they destroyed them. They claimed to protect communities… they shielded criminals.

And Quinn’s Law #9 tells you why they will NEVER acknowledge this: “To liberals, intentions are more significant than the outcomes they achieve.” It does not matter that every single program failed. They MEANT well. And in their world, meaning well is all that counts.

Communist Goals from 1963

THE MOB MIND AND THE PROJECTION MACHINE

Traditional cults have a charismatic leader. Jim Jones. David Koresh. The modern left has evolved past that. They worship something worse: the COLLECTIVE. The mob. The algorithm. Whatever the group decides this week is gospel until next week when they decide the opposite, and you are expected to pivot INSTANTLY or be destroyed.

Over a dozen House Democrats walked out of Trump’s March 2025 speech wearing matching “RESIST” shirts. MATCHING SHIRTS. That is not a protest. That is a uniform. And uniforms are what cults wear.

Quinn’s Law #22:Liberals love democracy unless it doesn’t go their way.” They loved the filibuster when they used it. They loved the Electoral College when it worked for them. They loved the Supreme Court when it ruled in their favor. The MOMENT any of those institutions produces a result they dislike… suddenly the institution itself is the problem. Suddenly it is “outdated” and “undemocratic” and needs to be “reformed.”

Quinn’s Law #23: “Liberals love the law unless they don’t agree with it. Then they just don’t obey it.” Sanctuary cities. Trust Acts. Judges helping defendants escape through back doors. NYC Comptroller Brad Lander physically interfering with ICE. When they do not like a law, they simply ignore it while lecturing everyone else about the “rule of law.”

Quinn’s Law #26:Liberals like the courts unless the decision doesn’t go their way.” Dobbs? Pack the court! Loper Bright overturning Chevron deference? The courts are “illegitimate!” But when the court rules in their favor? It is “settled law” and anyone who questions it is an extremist.

And above all else… Quinn’s Law #2:If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing.” They call US a cult while excommunicating anyone who asks a question. They call US fascists while deplatforming people for wrong opinions. They call US a threat to democracy while trying to pack the Supreme Court, eliminate the Electoral College, and bypass Congress with executive orders.
Every accusation… is a confession.

Quinn’s Law #7 explains why they get away with it: “It’s different when you are a Democrat; things conservatives are condemned for are merely resume enhancements for liberal Democrats.” A Republican misspeaks and it is career-ending. A Democrat wears blackface, and he is governor of Virginia for four more years. Different rules. Same party that lectures everyone else about “equity.”

THE SOWELL TEST — APPLIED AND DEVASTATING

Let me circle back to where we started, because Sowell’s three questions deserve to be the headstone on this argument.

COMPARED TO WHAT? The left demands more government, more programs, more spending, more control. Compared to what? Free markets and individual liberty have lifted more people out of poverty than every government program in history COMBINED. But they will never make that comparison, because the comparison annihilates them.

Quinn’s Law #15 explains the blind spot: “To a liberal, every culture is unquestionable and of equal value, except the West’s.” The system that created more prosperity, freedom, and innovation than any civilization in human history is the one they want to tear down. Because of course it is.

AT WHAT COST? The ACA subsidy extensions they demanded during the shutdown? Nearly $20,000 PER TAXPAYER. For temporary COVID relief that THEY voted to make temporary through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Let me say that again: THEY created the expiration date, and then they blamed Republicans when the expiration date arrived.

Quinn’s Law #13:Liberals are political opportunists; they can never let a good crisis go to waste.” They literally manufactured the crisis by writing temporary subsidies, then used the expiration of those subsidies as a weapon to demand permanent spending. That takes a level of chutzpah that borders on performance art.

Quinn’s Law #27:Liberals have never seen a tax or tax hike they didn’t like.” And it shows. Every solution involves taking more of YOUR money to fund programs that — per Quinn’s Law #1 — will generate the exact opposite of their stated intent. Every. Time. Without. Exception.

And while we are talking about costs… the government is currently STEALING retirement pay from 50,000 combat-wounded, medically retired veterans through the concurrent receipt offset. The Major Richard Star Act (S.Amdt.4056) would fix this for roughly $8-10 billion over ten years. We spend $8.2 billion PER MONTH on SNAP benefits alone. But fixing a broken promise to soldiers who literally got blown up for this country? Apparently too expensive.

Quinn’s Law #25:Liberals are great at giving away other people’s money.” Just not to the people who actually earned it.

WHAT HARD EVIDENCE DO YOU HAVE? This is the question that makes them physically squirm. Because for every policy they champion, the evidence shows the OPPOSITE of what they promised. Two-thirds of minimum wage studies show negative employment effects. Welfare expansion created generational dependency. Defunding police caused crime spikes. The ACA was supposed to make healthcare affordable — hence the name — and they are literally admitting it is UNAFFORDABLE without $1.5 trillion in subsidies.

Quinn’s Law #3: “The amount of wealth in any given area is inversely proportional to the number of Democrats running it.” Detroit. Baltimore. Chicago. San Francisco. St. Louis. Memphis. The poorest, most dangerous, most crumbling cities in America… all run by Democrats for decades. But sure… tell me the problem is not enough government intervention. Quinn’s Law #10 has been waiting for you: “Liberals never think what they are doing is wrong; they only think they haven’t done enough of it yet.”

THE FEAR ENGINE

Quinn’s Law #4 might be the most important law of all when understanding the cult mentality: “Liberalism only succeeds when the public is scared into believing it will not survive without it.

Everything is an existential crisis. Climate change will kill everyone in 12 years… no wait, 10… no wait, we moved the deadline again. Democracy is ALWAYS “under attack.” Every election is “the most important in our lifetime.” Every Republican is “literally Hitler” — until the next Republican comes along and somehow manages to be even MORE Hitler than the last one.

They need you terrified. A calm, rational, well-informed citizen is their worst nightmare. Because a calm, rational, well-informed citizen asks Sowell’s three questions… and the whole house of cards collapses.

Quinn’s Law #18: “A liberal is someone who has replaced reality with their ideology.

When you replace reality with ideology, you HAVE to silence anyone who points out reality still exists. That is why they cannot answer Sowell’s three questions. That is why they rely on logical fallacies instead of logical arguments. That is why they excommunicate their own. That is why they need fear. Without fear… nobody needs them.

And Quinn’s Law #20 explains why the problem keeps getting worse instead of better: “Liberals suffer from intellectual inbreeding and become extremist because of having to think only in the proverbial liberal box and not being able to stray from liberal dogma.” They cannot moderate themselves because moderation is heresy. So the positions keep getting more extreme, the purity tests keep getting stricter, and the circle of acceptable thought keeps shrinking… until eventually, J.K. Rowling is a bigot and Elon Musk is a fascist and the only safe opinion is whatever the mob decided THIS MORNING.

THREE OPTIONS. PICK ONE.

When someone on the left reads all of this — the data, the patterns, the research, the history, the 28 Quinn’s Laws that describe their movement with terrifying accuracy — they have exactly three choices:

One: They did not bother to read any of it and are just going to call me a fascist in the comments. Which proves my point about thought-terminating cliches.

Two: They read it and cannot refute it, so they will try to attack ME instead of my ARGUMENT. Which proves my point about argumentum ad hominem.

Three: They read it, they know it is accurate, and they are going to ignore it anyway because the cult does not permit doubt. Which proves my point about… well, everything.

There is no fourth option. I looked.

Quinn’s Law #24:Every time a liberal tries to fix something, someone somewhere loses their job.” And Quinn’s Law #1 sits on top of it all like a crown: “Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.

They claimed to help the poor… created generational poverty. Claimed to strengthen families… destroyed them. Claimed to protect communities… shielded criminals. Claimed to fight fascism… became the most authoritarian movement in modern American politics. Claimed to defend democracy… while running the most ideologically conformist political machine this country has ever seen.

Here is the thing I keep coming back to. I did not arrive at any of this through cable news or rage-scrolling or partisan think tanks. I arrived at it the way I arrive at everything: by reading primary sources, examining evidence, identifying patterns, and applying the same critical thinking I teach my students every single day.

The modern American left is not merely wrong on policy. Reasonable people can disagree on policy.

What they have become is something deeper and more troubling… an ideological movement that demands absolute conformity, punishes independent thought, severs family bonds, controls language, rewrites history, denies biological reality, weaponizes psychology, and demonizes everyone who dares to ask a question.

That is not a political party. That is a cult with a fundraising operation and a really good social media strategy.

And every time they scream “CULT!” at the people who are simply asking for smaller government, less waste, and accountability for how our money is spent… they are just proving Quinn’s Law #2 all over again.

Every accusation… is a confession.

But what do I know? I am only a 23-year combat medic who deployed as a line medic to Iraq and built schools there, a Cleveland paramedic who has seen what happens when cities crumble, a two-time published science teacher who started teaching while still serving in the reserves at a district everyone else gave up on, a father who feeds four kids on a budget the government says is impossible, and apparently the last person in America who thinks evidence should matter more than feelings.

If that makes me the crazy one… I will wear it.
