Congressman brings veteran, advocate against vaccine mandate to State of Union address

(Press Release) U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) brought former U.S. Army Captain and Green Beret John Frankman as his guest for the 2024 State of the Union address.

Mr. Frankman is a former U.S. Army Captain and Green Beret who served with the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and is a constituent of Rep. Gaetz, residing in Florida’s First Congressional District.

While 8,600 service members were forced to separate from the military following President Joe Biden and Secretary Lloyd Austin’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Mr. Frankman was one of thousands who voluntarily separated from the Army due to hardships he and other unvaccinated service members faced based on discriminatory and punitive Department of Defense policy.

Since his separation, Mr. Frankman has been an advocate for service members’ rights and a fighter who aims to fix the injustices committed against service members at the hands of Joe Biden and Secretary Austin.

Mr. Frankman played a key role in initiating the “Declaration of Military Accountability” campaign.

This initiative, which has been co-signed by hundreds of veterans nationwide, calls for holding our military leaders accountable for the degradation of the Armed Forces due to the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and more.
