Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, the former commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron, was fired in 2021 after self-publishing a book titled Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military.
Now his story is being told through an online movie, Call Sign Courage, a powerful, harrowing story of how woke-Marxist DEI destroyed his military career and very nearly destroyed the entire United States military from within.
Lohmeier is a modern-day David who took on Goliath. He became the voice of the silent majority of military men and women who wanted only to serve and protect their country but were constrained from speaking out.
This movie chronicles how one man’s love for God and country slew the out-of-control, destructive DEI Leviathan.

Call Sign Courage recounts many troubling scenes from Lohmeier’s experience at Buckley Air Force Base, where he discovered that woke culture, rooted in Marxism, was demoralizing his troops. He soon found out that this was happening at military bases across the nation.
“This woke-military discussion, the DEI initiatives, transgenderism in the force, LGBTQ celebrations … there were minor hints of all that before I came into command in 2020,” Lohmeier said.
It wasn’t until the immediate aftermath of the death of George Floyd “that political activists seized that moment in history and tried to overtly politicize the military workplace, bully people, force them into conversations that they naturally don’t participate in,” Lohmeier explained.
Communists have long extracted confessions of false guilt from their captives for things they had never done. Lohmeier said he noticed a parallel with Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and political activists who were “extracting confessions of guilt from the average American citizen” to “kneel and apologize for their ‘white privilege’” and to “admit their implicit and unconscious biases.”
Lohmeier pointed out that the Geneva Convention had outlawed these types of tactics long ago.
At one point, the base chaplain, an African American, told him “basically, all whites are racists,” a message that was being drilled into the troops on base.
Lohmeier resisted, telling him, “To impugn guilt to a group of people based on the color of their skin, regardless of anything they’ve ever done, is the definition of racism. The chaplain told him “blacks can’t be racists.”
The destructive DEI messaging wasn’t just coming from the chaplain; it was being forcefully pushed by the base commander, the Pentagon, and the Biden administration.
In 2023, Lohmeier bravely testified before a subcommittee of the House Oversight Committee – on “the risk of Progressive Ideologies in the U.S. Military.” Clips from the hearing show him battling back against Democrat members of Congress who insisted “It is not wokeness that is threatening national security. The real threat to our security is a far-right extrem(ism).”
In October 2024, at the height of the heated Presidential campaign, Lohmeier stood in front of President Donald Trump and warned that rooting out DEI from the military would likely require a permanent taskforce, an “ongoing oversight, and a persistent, consistent, watchful eye within the Pentagon to ensure this monster never returns to the Defense Department” (now the Department of War).
Trump immediately promised to put Lohmeier on the task force, adding, “We’re not going to get better than him.”
After Trump’s landslide victory, Lohmeier was selected to serve as Under Secretary of the Air Force.
Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts said of the film that “This isn’t just one man’s story. It’s the story of a nation stepping into the dawn of new ‘American Golden Age.’”
