Army Ranger veteran compares military recruitment advertisements from the previous administration and the current administration to try to figure out why, oh why, was recruitment down then and up now. Real head-scratcher.

In ’21 I attended the USAREC Audie Murphy board and met the Sergeant Major that was heading USAREC advertising. I will never forget when SHE…yes, no surprise there, she briefed us on this new advertising campaign and claimed it was going to be the best campaign the Army had ever seen. Little did we know, it would be the gayest (literally) and most detrimental advertisement campaign ever witnessed. I’m out now, but it’s good to see the Army’s balls drop again. Legit makes me consider going back in. Strike Hold.”

So far under the 2nd Trump admin, I’ve told one to go directly to recruitment office, like, immediately. What he needed in life at the moment was present in the military under the Trump admin, it wasn’t there under Biden.”

“Well…my son joined during the first Trump administration. 11 Bravo…paratrooper….Alaska for three years….sniper team in RECON platoon. Made E- 5 just over three year….now in 82nd…qualified as a jump master. But was mainly under Biden administration…and it was really a disappointment for him. So now..as his six years comes to a close..he is leaving..pursuing a law enforcement career…probably staying in the reserves.. However he told my time and again how the lower standards have weakened our army…the Biden administration was a disaster for the military. I served under Reagan…11 Bravo…..not airborne…did back to back Germany and Korea tours before l was 21. I know how it is to be under a president who is good for the military…. I am disgusted by the Biden era ads….and am very impressed with the new ads…..let’s hope they turn this whole mess around.”
