West Point

“They will face an enemy with ZERO care for diversity.”

Lt. General Michael Flynn, USA ret is a Presidential Appointee to the West Point Board of Visitors and attended his first meeting on Friday, 11 July. He wrote a post about it on X:

“I recently attended my first Board of Visitors meeting as a member, and I walked away more certain than ever: the future of our Army is being shaped right now inside the historic walls of West Point.

West Point doesn’t exist to check ideological boxes. It exists to forge warrior-leaders, men and women of grit, character, and resolve prepared to lead in the crucible of combat.

As I said in that room:

“They will face an enemy with ZERO care for diversity.”

This isn’t about keeping up with social trends. This is about life and death. It’s about preparing to win wars and bringing our soldiers home.

I don’t care if we win on the football field. I care if we win on the battlefield.

We discussed what makes our military truly unbeatable: innovation and adaptability.

War is the most dynamic, unforgiving, and innovative domain on earth. Our future leaders must be able to outthink, outmaneuver, and outpace any threat.

“Adaptability is an innovation. It’s an attitude.” That mindset isn’t optional; it’s essential.

And let me be clear: I was appointed by the President of the United States to serve on this board. I’m not there to warm a seat. His agenda will be followed. Period.

We have to adapt, innovate, create, train, and apply, and it all has to happen at the speed of war.

When we asked the cadets, “Why are you here?” their answer was immediate and unwavering:

“To serve our country.”

That answer deserves action.

Because what we do for them today… will determine whether we win tomorrow.”
