Retired Air Force Academy Professor Brig. General: “We are ANTIFA”

In an Executive Order, the Commander-in-Chief designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization:

Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.  It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals….”

So a retired Air Force Academy professor, who received an honorific rank of Brigadier General, says that he and his military family are Antifa on his Facebook page?

Security clearances should be pulled for any service member advocating for an organization that calls from the overthrow of the United States Government.

Disgraced former Air Force Academy professor “Brigadier General” Martin France, wrote an open letter to the academy superintendent calling for Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to be banned from the Air Force Academy, equating the group with the Ku Klux Klan.

In a social media post France claims to be Antifa—a designated domestic terrorist organization rooted in Soviet Communism.

France is also a board member of the so-called Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), which has smeared Christian midshipmen at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy as “Christian nationalist insects” and “cowards.”

France’s rank of Brigadier General is an honorary title bestowed on retired military professors after 10 years of service.

Yet France uses his rank to push far-left, anti-Christian activism along with Mikey Weinstein, president of MRFF. Weinstein attacks his opponents as “fundamentalist Christian extremist bastards who constitute our enemies.”

Restoration News previously reported that France likely violated military regulations by leading a protest while wearing his uniform just outside the Air Force Academy front gate.

Now he’s accusing Air Force cadets of violating those same regulations for reportedly holding an unofficial TPUSA meeting.

The Air Force Academy website indicates that non-federal entities—including TPUSA—are eligible to hold a wide variety of events at their installation. The events referenced include concerts, civic engagements, fundraising, educational programs, and the like. The academy has not responded to Restoration News’ request for clarification concerning France’s accusations.

What is clear is that France suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), judging by his social media posts—something he’s weaponized against Air Force cadets at the school he recently taught at.

Charlie Kirk’s Tie to the Air Force Academy

Charlie Kirk was appointed by President Trump to the Air Force Academy’s Board of Visitors (BOV), a key congressional oversight board, and attended his first BOV meeting just weeks before he was viciously murdered.

While there, he spent time talking to cadets and learned they were disappointed that the academy’s historic all-faith chapel was unusable due to never-ending renovations.

During the BOV meeting, Charlie told the superintendent he wanted to help speed along the chapel’s renovations so the cadets could worship there before graduating.

There’s no doubt Charlie would’ve made it happen, had he not been murdered by a left-wing radical.

Restoration News has reported on how dangerous extremist rhetoric about Charlie Kirk continues to fuel political violence on the Left.

“Progressives” have taken short snippets of things Charlie said on different topics and twisted them to mean something other than he intended.

France Attacks and Possibly Defames TPUSA

Many of those false narratives are echoed in France’s letter. His most outrageous statement is equating TPUSA with the KKK. He said,

“Any official or unofficial USAFA chapter of TPUSA should be banned as surely as a KKK chapter would be.”

France obviously doesn’t want to tone down the rhetoric that fuels the political violence that killed Charlie.

“It is funded in large part by the Republican Party (GOP),” France claimed without evidence.

A search of federal election records by Restoration News revealed only two small donations to TPUSA from any Republican organizations: a $94.57 payment in 2017 from the Republican National Committee for registration fees, and $740.39 for a meeting expense reimbursement by the Stark County Republican Party in 2018.

“I assert that any meeting of Turning Point USA is a political event because the organization itself is fundamentally and intentionally partisan and political,” and it is “a distinctly political and religious organization,” France continued.

According to TPUSA’s IRS filings, it is a charitable nonprofit—not a political or religious organization—”organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) to empower informed civic and cultural engagement grounded in American exceptionalism and a positive spirit of action.”

Antifa, in contrast, is not recognized as a legitimate educational or charitable nonprofit. Nor does it file financial disclosures with the IRS, as TPUSA has since 2013.

France also expresses concern that TPUSA maintains a Professor Watchlist that publicizes academic staff that “discriminate against conservative students and advance leftist propaganda in the classroom.” Why is this something France would be opposed to? Does he want conservative students to be discriminated against?

France unjustly condemns the Air Force Academy for permitting a reported unofficial TPUSA meeting as a violation of military rules against political activism.

Yet France uses his military rank and title as he signs off on his letter that’s filled with activist leftist anti-Christian propaganda. Perhaps France is overdue a look in the mirror.

Section 1.  Antifa as a Terrorist Threat.

Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.

It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals.

This campaign involves coordinated efforts to obstruct enforcement of Federal laws through armed standoffs with law enforcement, organized riots, violent assaults on Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other law enforcement officers, and routine doxing of and other threats against political figures and activists.

Antifa recruits, trains, and radicalizes young Americans to engage in this violence and suppression of political activity, then employs elaborate means and mechanisms to shield the identities of its operatives, conceal its funding sources and operations in an effort to frustrate law enforcement, and recruit additional members.

Individuals associated with and acting on behalf of Antifa further coordinate with other organizations and entities for the purpose of spreading, fomenting, and advancing political violence and suppressing lawful political speech.

This organized effort designed to achieve policy objectives by coercion and intimidation is domestic terrorism.

Sec. 2.  Designation as a Domestic Terrorist Organization.

Because of the aforementioned pattern of political violence designed to suppress lawful political activity and obstruct the rule of law, I hereby designate Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization.”

All relevant executive departments and agencies shall utilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations — especially those involving terrorist actions — conducted by Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa, or for which Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa provided material support, including necessary investigatory and prosecutorial actions against those who fund such operations.

Sec. 3.  General Provisions.

(a)  This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law.  This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

(b)  This order shall be published in the Federal Register.

DONALD J. TRUMP

THE WHITE HOUSE,
