DOD Marxism

Marxism at advanced military schools?

For those of you who remember the Cold War, the Soviet communists—whose god was their State—were perennial opposed to liberty-loving Americans who believed their inalienable rights came from God. These were the communist’s greatest threat.

As further proof of the fast-spreading infection of government institutions with the marxist woke mind virus, a researcher and former military intelligence officer recently said this on X/Twitter:

“I spent most of the day scraping U.S. military sites and databases for thesis papers regarding “domestic insurgency” from the Army War College, CGSC, Navy post-grad school, and other military schools.

The thesis papers from these schools are public record and searchable online.

I should not be, but I am astounded by how many field grade officers chose some variation of a “right wing insurgency” or “white Christian majority losing power” and the military implications thereof as a central part of their warfighting thesis.

Would it be wrong to conclude that this is what today’s senior field grade and flag officers are thinking?

In other words, conservative, liberty-loving Christians are a threat in the minds of those who follow the current Narrative of the State in all its anti-God, anti-American, anti-unity, marxist critical race theory, intersectionality, racist and identity DEI-worshipping, vax mandate-enforcing tyranny. The US is becoming the USSR.

Mike Shelby’s X bio reads: “Former Intel NCO & contractor. OEF & OIF. Intelligence, security, and low intensity conflict: guerrillas, insurgencies, revolutions past and future.”

His website is https://forwardobserver.com/ which provides intel briefs. On the home page, he says, “I’m a former soldier, Intelligence NCO, and contractor.  I left the Intelligence Community in 2012 over concerns of where the country was headed, and later founded Forward Observer as a way to track radical, revolutionary, and extremist groups involved in “Low Intensity Conflict” in the United States.”

Some comments on the tweet:

“They cannot use anything left wing, because that is the center of institutional power. They use cannot far-left, like Antifa, because of adjacency. The popular domestic problem, from the DHS and FBI, is far-right, white nationalism. No officer is going to jeopardize their career.” (retired Army)

“This is what happens when a military, for decades, sends its senior officers to liberal, civilian colleges to get advanced degrees. If you think a field officer is immune to Leftist indoctrination at a college, remember that indoctrination is, itself, a military necessity.”

“Graduate of ACSC and AWC here. No reason to believe at this point in our cultural devolution that military officers are not a reflection of the academic institutions in which they are trained (to include military academies) and the society in which they live, sadly.”

“Field Grade officers are in context usually officers with less than 15 yrs in service. Most officers finish their upper military education asap. Mimicking each other is commonplace and most officers don’t write thesis papers off topic unless they want to be noticed.” (US Army)

“It is reasonable to conclude that this is what today’s thesis review panels, and promotion panels, want to read from those whose careers they control. Some who write this know this is what they must do to have a career in Our Democracy. Many will actually believe what they write.”

“I think its the flavor of the month that’s popular so they get their names out there. Whether they actually believe it or not is the scary part.”

“A. They are a product of the communist controlled k-12 public education system. B. They understand what it takes to get ahead in the current system of government/military.”

“I had an Army JAG officer at CGSC argue in class that the U.S. flag would soon need to be removed because it has become a symbol of hate. This is a field grade officer who also happens to be a JAG. This was in 2021…no telling what they are teaching there now.”

“The associated classes tend to be very leading. They quote statistics or use examples of “right wing” insurgencies in other countries, which pushes students to think that direction. It makes many of the papers end up very similar.”

“They’ve more than likely been indoctrinated by the likes of the weather underground, or other communists. A lot of professors, and politicians fail to institutional, and elite capture. Some themselves were indoctrinated.”

“probably a few are true believer red army types.”

“Officers are political animals. They’ll write whatever gets positive attention from the civilian DOD. DOD and DOJ want white terrorism so bad that they can taste it, so it’s beneficial for commissioned officers’ careers to write on these topics. Don’t trust ring knockers.”

“Someone with a thesis masters or a phd can chime in and correct me if im wrong, but I believe you only kind of get to pick your thesis. Your subject/title has to be approved by advisors before you even start on it. And not all the teachers at those institutions are active military, or even military at all. As a matter of fact, I believe there’s more civilian professors than there are military/former military.”

  • “You come up with an idea, then discuss it with your advisor. If they like the idea then you discuss it with your committee. If everyone is on board you work on that. The idea is that it will be doable and limited enough to a focused point.”
  • “In my ScD program we were expected to have our own ideas. Advisors gave guidance on rigor and scope.”
  • “Institutional capture being so thorough that you feel obligated to write a paper like this isn’t actually good sign in and of itself though.”

“Who among us hasn’t written a garbage paper because that’s what you knew the grader wanted to read?”

“In a scenario of “white Christian majority losing power”. Which side were they picturing fighting for?”

“It’s definitely what they’ve been *told* to think. I’m interested in seeing their conclusions. How, in their minds, does the military fare against a large-scale domestic insurgency?”

“They don’t so much choose, as being given a series of directed topics. Remember, Doughboy Vindman was headed to the War College.” (US Army)

“Yes. The communist revolutionaries have completely changed the game that officers play, realizing that this was possible because we’ve made field and flag rank dependent on playing political games and not performance. It will get worse.”

“They know what the schools want to hear so they write for the graders.”

“When I receive intelligence related classes they ALWAYS use examples of white supremacy when discussing national security concerns. Even I’m training related to immigration.”

“2 things: You can’t, as an officer (de facto politician) write papers that go against the current power center. You write what the audience wants to hear. Obama purged most non-left flag officers and the new ones coming in since then have been left leaning”

“How do you think they got to BE senior field grade officers these days?”

“Not sure why you are surprised, my experience of many of my peers during my time in uniform was that they were dull and unreflective strivers who emulated whatever seemed successful at the time.”

“Conditioned through environment. After being intellectually “brought up” throught the Frankfurt-Marxist Schools system how could they think otherwise? Thank god there were still some good O’s in the grunts when I was in. The rest drank the red koolaid.”

“If you want a good grade on your exam, pick a thesis that you know the teacher loves.”

“NATSECSTATE has built a self reinforcing system in order to make sure their apparatchik are producing the right type of “leaders”. It’s not just .mil it’s the while national security apparatus. Assimilate or your career path is short. This is actually good for FREEFOR.”

“It would be interesting to know how many actually think those plausible looming threats, and how many are choosing based on what they believe will best help their careers.”

“Says more about who is judging the thesis. Always write what teach wants to hear if you want to succeed.”

Obama (really started under Clinton, B.O. just accelerated it) made sure that the officers getting promoted especially to flag rank were of a mind with him and his desire to remake America. Easy for guys working up the ranks to see which way the wind is blowing.

“I suppose that’s one way of pledging loyalty to the regime.”

“Could this school of thought be basis of our current government saying that ‘white Christian nationalists’ are the greatest threat of domestic terrorism?”

“Everyone knows these are the people the US government hates.”

“This shouldn’t be a surprise. Colleges have been cranking out little communists for the last 20 years. There was a noticeable shift in the officer corps circa 2010. A lot of leftists out there in uniform in the upper ranks.”

“I can assure that a great deal of writing in academic institutions is done with the sole intent of checking the block. A colleague who was on the AWC faculty used to complain about the number of students who acted like they were there on an athletic scholarship.”

This shows just how #antiwhite our institutions are, including the military.”

“I am not completely surprised – indoctrination of the troops to see citizens as Less than Human is critical to get them to turn on us, isn’t it?”

“I was in a Marine Recon reserve unit as a Field Radio Operator, when I would be embedded in the teams, they would always have their mission plan and the OPFOR ( opposition force training ) would be some kind of domestic group and have some weird ambiguous name like “people’s liberation militia” and the briefing would be domestic extremist group. I thought it was odd and not something Arab sounding ( who was fighting at the time ) in 2011-2015.”
