DOD Woke Agenda

Gaslighting Headlines Regarding DEI Content Purge in DOD

STARRS

On 26 February 2025, the Pentagon issued a memo entitled, “Digital Content Refresh” that said by March 5, 2025, “all Components must remove and archive DoD news articles, photos, and videos promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), including content related to critical race theory, gender ideology, and identity-based programs.”

Our post on this showed screenshots from DVIDS of what came up when DEI or pride month was searched. There were photos of DEI seminars and articles promoting DEI. The pride month search showed graphics and photos “celebrating” the month how a small percentage in the military likes to have sex. None of this had anything to do with military lethality and warfighting and frankly was a waste of time and taxpayer dollars.

But enter people in the military infected with the Woke Mind Virus who were opposed to orders from the Commander-in-Chief and Secretary of Defense. They deliberately over-complied (or what is termed maliciously complied) by purposely deleting everything that has to do with blacks, women and minorities and even, stupidly enough, an airplane, just because it had the name “Gay” on it.

Then SOMEHOW, conveniently the leftwing legacy media found out about these maliciously deleted photos and wrote article after article gaslighting the public on how horrible, mean and unfair Trump and Hegseth’s DEI purge is and making them look bad. The Narrative doesn’t want their divisive identity politics removed from DOD.

We’ve covered gaslighting news headlines before (The narcissistic DC Swamp is gaslighting Americans again) showing this type of thing is far too coordinated and deliberate to be natural. It is a Marxist political warfare campaign designed to purposefully manipulate emotions and public opinion against the President and Secretary of Defense’s agenda in order to weaken their ability to change and fix things for the better. The attempt is to negate their efforts and stop them from succeeding.

Here’s a sample of gaslighting headlines that were republished over and over in left-leaning legacy media outlets:

Kristina Wong, Breitbart News Pentagon Correspondent, posted this on X on 19 March 2025:

‼️The Pentagon is republishing the following content online after it was removed (either deliberately or by mistake):

— The Tuskegee Airmen
— The Enola Gay
— Navajo Code Talkers
— WASPs
— History -making female fighter pilots
— Jackie Robinson
— The Marines at Iwo Jima
— A Black Medal of Honor Winner, and more.

Pentagon Press Secretary John Ullyot says in a statement:

“As Secretary Hegseth has said, DEI is dead at the Defense Department. Discriminatory Equity Ideology is a form of Woke cultural Marxism that has no place in our military. It Divides the force, Erodes unit cohesion and Interferes with the services’ core warfighting mission.

We are pleased by the rapid compliance across the Department with the directive removing DEI content from all platforms. In the rare cases that content is removed — either deliberately or by mistake — that is out of the clearly outlined scope of the directive, we instruct the components and they correct the content accordingly.”

Once again, don’t fall for the gaslighting.

Defense Department Reassesses Archived Content (DOD)

Last month, Defense Department leadership directed administrators of U.S. military public media platforms to remove all content related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

“Over the past few weeks, we’ve taken action to identify and archive DEI content from our websites and social media platforms,” Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said in a video posted to social media yesterday. “Without question, this task was an arduous but incredibly important undertaking.”

As part of the effort, some content was removed from public view so department personnel could further review it before making a final decision on archiving. However, some content was archived that should not have been.

Department personnel are reviewing archived content to determine if it was mistakenly removed or, in other cases, if it can be edited to make it eligible for reposting.

“When content is either mistakenly removed or if it’s maliciously removed, we continue to work quickly to restore it,” Parnell said.

The Defense Department website, defense.gov, contains thousands of articles about U.S. service members, their warrior ethos and the historic actions they have been involved in while serving the nation. That content is part of the department’s history, Parnell said.

“We are so proud of our nation’s heroes and our heritage,” he added. “We honor the accomplishments of our warfighters and the content of their character. Americans, past and present, are the greatest people the world has ever known, and we live in the greatest country the world has ever known, and our strength, now, and has always been, our unity and shared purpose.”
