LtCol Asad “Genghis” Khan, USMC (ret.), served over two decades as a Marine infantry officer, leading Marines in combat and training the next generation of warriors. He commanded 1st Battalion, 6th Marines during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004, one of the year’s major Marine combat operations. Known for his blunt leadership and commitment to the warrior ethos, Khan challenged the growing bureaucracy and risk-averse culture inside the force. After retiring, he founded Sentinel360, a YouTube platform focused on military leadership, accountability, and national security. He is the author of the Betrayal of Command, an unflinching examination of how senior leaders lost touch with war’s realities and the Marines who fought them.
