In the Soviet Army, each company had “political enlightenment dayrooms” (ie indoctrination rooms) which contained all types of Marxist/Communist political literature, newspapers and magazines, such as The Red Star, Pravda, Iszvestiya, Soviet Warrior and Ogonek.
